fiVe generations ago , Etta Bosler started Bosler Cafe in Ludell,KS with a goal of creating community through food. One of very few female business owners in western Kansas in the early 1920’s, Etta exhibited passion, perseverance and a pioneering spirit.

Etta;s great-great grandson, Mark and great-great grandchildren Caleb and Mariel Edwards have owned and operated della Voce since 2014, with a goal to grow and share their passion for food and hospitality.

In 2019, five years later, motivated by Etta’s pioneer spirit and desire to create community through food, Mark, Mariel and Caleb have created:

Born in Tucson Arizona, Caleb moved to Kansas at the age of 6 months. Caleb graduated from Riley County High School in 2001 and immediately joined the U.S. Army. He saw active duty in both Afghanistan and Iraq during two separate tours.

Following his discharge from the Army, Caleb began to earn his hospitality chops as a mixologist at Wish, a chic boutique lodging with Todd Oldham-designed interiors & a rooftop pool with a bar & ocean views.

Caleb moved back to Kansas to continue his education at Kansas State University. During this time he became a bartender at Noah Regan’s concept della Voce..

As Caleb was working on his Master’s degree in Communication Studies, an opportunity was presented to purchase della Voce.

Caleb, along with his sister Mariel, Executive Chef/owner and his dad Mark formerly of Kansas State University and an investor purchased della Voce, taking ownership on 1 Jan 2014.

After five years of successfully transforming della Voce Caleb wanted to push the boundaries even further and on 1 Jan 2019, Caleb retired the della Voce brand and created fiVe: a new american restaurant.

Together with an amazing team fiVE strives to create a small core menu that focuses on global flavors using local ingredients wherever possible that changes often. Most importantly we never stop playing, creating, and, having fun with food. All while ensuring our guests have an experience they will love!
